During our romantic escape, we found the inn to be cozy and peaceful, with charming decor and comfortable furniture. The room was clean and had just the right amount of amenities for an overnight stay. We particularly loved the balcony/deck, which offered a lovely view of the town. Additionally, the staff was friendly and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable.
There were a couple of downsides to our experience. One night, we were unfortunately disturbed by noisy drunken individuals, which disrupted our sleep.

I gotta say, staying at Guesthouse Akurinn was worth every penny. The room was clean and comfy, with a sweet balcony offering a nice view of the town. Plus, the staff was super helpful and the location was spot on.
Breakfast delights could be improved with more cutlery and crockery options in each room, especially for late arrivals like us.

The hotel was a superb base for enjoying a downtown area, close enough to the center and all restaurant and the botanical garden and public transport. The rooms were decent size and huge with attached bathroom and free coffee, as example, just what was needed. Everything was nice. The location was perfect and wonderful, for example, Akureyri Swimming Pool was relatively near the property. The staff was friendly and thoughtful, so I will choose the place for future trips.

I really got great value for my money at Guesthouse Akurinn. The room was comfortable and spacious, with beds that were unbelievably cozy. The location was ideal, with a beautiful view and just a short walk to downtown. The staff treated me with kindness and made me feel welcome.
The only thing that could make breakfast better is if there were more options in the selection.

Conveniently located, with easy parking and a nice view. The owner was welcoming and explained everything. The guesthouse had solid construction and a stylish design. The room and facilities were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained.
The self-service aspect of the guesthouse could be improved. We arrived late and there was no crockery or cutlery available in the common area, so we couldn't have the soup we were looking forward to.

The beds were comfortable and the room had a cozy atmosphere. The breakfast was delicious and had plenty of options. The staff was friendly and helpful. The location was convenient, with key attractions and amenities nearby.
The cleanliness of the hotel was lacking, with dirty rooms and shared bathrooms. The lack of maintenance was evident, with broken drapes and noisy bathroom doors.

The location was great, allowing easy access to nearby attractions. The check-in process was simple and the communication with the staff was good. I appreciated the flexibility of the self-service check-in, especially after a long day of driving. The room had a clean and unique feel, providing a cozy and comfortable atmosphere. I also found the presence of a kettle, tea, and coffee in the room a nice touch. Despite a few minor drawbacks, I would recommend this guesthouse for its overall positive qualities.
